Equipment Installation
This sterilizer is composed of a front section and a rear section, where the front section serves as the operation zone and the rear section as the heat preservation zone. The front section shall be installed in the clean room, while the rear section shall be placed in the outer packaging workshop. No gaps are allowed between the two sections, and the joint must be sealed with glass sealant. A sealed chamber with a volume of 4–6 cubic meters shall be constructed for the rear section. The diameter of the circular hole at the top of the small chamber and the corresponding transfer hole at the top of the sterilizer shall both be 160 mm; these holes are designed for installing exhaust ducts, exhaust fans, routing cables, vacuum pipes, and external air source pipes to the ceiling interlayer.
To ensure the normal gasification of ethylene oxide (EO), a wall-mounted air conditioner must be installed inside the rear chamber. During normal production, the temperature of the chamber shall be stably maintained at 26.5–28℃ throughout the year. Failure to maintain this temperature range will lead to unstable gas state and significant fluctuations in inflation volume, which will ultimately compromise the product sterilization effect.
A gas control alarm equipped with two probes must be installed. One probe shall be placed inside the sealed chamber, and the other shall be mounted in the front section of the equipment. This configuration is intended to prevent EO leakage and excessive gas concentration, which may endanger workers' health and trigger production safety incidents.
The gas cylinder shall be placed in a sealed room, and the cylinder body must remain upright at all times. A 40 mm-long copper pipe shall be placed and fixed on the upper part inside the sealed chamber. This pipe is specifically used to further gasify the gas during its flow and must not be removed.
The vacuum pump must be installed outside the workshop; an interlayer is also acceptable. Before operation, fill the pump with vacuum pump oil, ensuring that the oil level does not exceed two-thirds of the oil sight glass.
